Throughout the years, I have witnessed the Department grew in leaps and bounds. But one thing has remained constant   the unwavering commitment and dedication to service that exemplifies the DSWD workforce. Our workers make the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable Filipinos better by being there to empower them, assist in their needs in times of critical situations and help them become what they can be and ensure their protection.

My fulfilling years at the DSWD have been full of challenges, but I remain positive that we will surmount all the obstacles and maintain the DSWD's number 1 rank among all government agencies in terms of performance and integrity.

In keeping with the modern times, we have likewise endeavored to make the Department responsive to changes in the field of information Thus, we have worked to make our website accurate and accessible to all our publics, and to make this a venue both for sharing of information and for requesting the desired assistance or intervention.

Likewise, we consider the website as a relevant tool in reaching our partners, publics, stakeholders and clients. The DSWD undertakes this through the implementation of various social welfare programs and services for the utmost benefit of the clients and publics we serve.

We are certain DSWD will pursue excellent public service for the disadvantaged sector of our society, so as to improve their quality of life. However, we cannot achieve our mandate alone. We are counting on the support and cooperation of everyone to become successful in fighting poverty and empowering the poor and disadvantaged.
