The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in the Philippines convened for the Year-End Review Meeting on Outcome 3 of the Work Plan on Child Protection at the Joy Nostalg Hotel, Ortigas Center in Pasig City on Wednesday (December 9).

The meeting served as a valuable platform for both organizations to assess their collaborative efforts, ensuring that child protection remains a central priority and that all actions align with the shared goal of safeguarding the rights and welfare of children in the country.

Assistant Secretary for External Assistance and Development Juan Carlo Marquez led the DSWD team, accompanied by key representatives from various DSWD offices who serve as focal points in the implementation of the Rolling Work Plan 2024-2026.

Also present at the event were UNICEF’s Chief for Child Protection Patricia Lim Ah Ken, along with specialists and officers dedicated to advancing child protection initiatives.
