Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Asst. Secretary Irene Dumlao and National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) Executive Director Glenda Relova discuss the updates on issues concerning the implementation of social welfare programs and services during the agency’s Thursday Media Forum on January 9 (Thursday) at the Central Office’s New Press Center in Quezon City.

Director Relova, for her part, explained the plans to address the proliferation of fake persons with disability identification cards (IDs) through the creation of a unified ID system that will be issued by the DSWD.

The Thursday Media Forum, which is held weekly at the DSWD Central Office’s New Press Center, is hosted by Special Assistant to the Secretary (SAS) for Communications Raymond Robert Burgos and Digital Media Service (DMS) Director Dianne Joie Ruiz. It is live streamed over the DSWD Facebook page. (AKDL)
