To ensure the timely receipt of conditional cash grants, Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) household-beneficiaries should regularly update their personal information, an official of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said on Wednesday (January 15).
“Kung sila man ay lumipat ng tirahan, kailangan magreport sila kasi kung hindi, hindi nila matatanggap ang kanilang grants. Kung lumipat sila sa ibang school or facility, kailangan nilang magreport at mag-update para maka-receive sila ng grants,” 4Ps National Program Manager (NPM) Director Gemma Gabuya explained during the 16th episode of the DSWD’s online program “4Ps Fastbreak”.
Director Gabuya said household beneficiaries are constantly being monitored if they are complying with the conditions of the program such as school attendance of children; going to pre-and post-natal health check-up for pregnant women; and attendance to the monthly family development sessions (FDS).
To update their information, Director Gabuya said the DSWD launched the i-Registro, a dynamic social registry (DSR) or online registration tool with self-service registration and data authentication of potential beneficiaries.
“Sa ngayon ay ini-introduce na natin ang i-Registro kasi hindi na nila kailangang gumastos para sa pamasahe. Mas mabilis, at mas matututo silang gumamit ng digital platform at access,” Director Gabuya said pointed out.
The 4Ps national program manager said all household beneficiaries will have access to the online platform.
Last year, the DSWD piloted the i-Registro in the municipalities of Pateros in Metro Manila, Floridablanca in Pampanga, and Cordova in Cebu to update the beneficiary profiles of 4Ps households with pregnant and nursing women and those with children aged 0 to 2 years old. This is in preparation for the implementation of the First 1,000 Days (F1KD) conditional cash grant this 2025.
Launched in 2008 and institutionalized by Republic Act (RA) 11310 in 2019, the 4Ps is the national poverty reduction strategy and human capital investment program that provides conditional cash transfer to poor households for a maximum period of seven years to improve their children’s health, nutrition and education.
The ‘4Ps Fastbreak’ is hosted by Information Officer Venus Balito of the Strategic Communication Group’s Digital Media Service (DMS) and is aired every Wednesday, 11 am, using the DSWD’s Facebook platform. (YADP)
