Even as relief operations for victims of Typhoon Nona continue in all the affected regions, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) also assists the victim of northeast monsoon (amihan) rains In Region II, Caraga and Mindanao.

As of December 20, 2PM, a total of 46,797 families or 199,557 persons are affected of which 950 families or 2,151 persons are inside 13 evacuation centers, while 32,205 families or 138,392 persons in Regions II and CARAGA opted to stay with relatives or friends.

There are 96 damaged houses in Region II as of 20 December 2015, 12NN.

The Field Office (FO) has enough family food packs (FFPs) ready for augmentation to the affected LGUs.

To date,  a total of ₱601,574,646.97 standby funds are available at Regions NCR, CAR, I, II, III, IV-A, IV-B, V, VII, and the National Resource Operations Center (NROC).

Meanwhile, the LGUs provided a total of ₱335,100.00 worth of relief assistance.

The Disaster Management Response Teams (DMRTs), Social Welfare and Development Teams (SWADTs) and Local Social Welfare Development Officers (LSWDOs) continue to monitor the situation and assess the needs of the affected families. ###
