Santos pose with representatives from Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWADAs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) who received their certificate of registration, license to operate, and accreditation during the Department’s flag-raising ceremony today in its Central Office in Batasan, Quezon City.
SWADAs awarded with certificate of registration included the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation, Inc.; Save Palawan Seas Foundation, Inc.; Edgardo S.Trota Memorial Foundation, Inc.; and, SCTAN Foundation, Inc., while those given with certificate of registration and license to operate included Megawide Corporate Foundation, Inc. and Foundation of Our Lady of Peace Mission, Inc.
The certificates of registration and license to operate allow the organizations to legally implement social welfare and development programs and services for their target beneficiaries.
The Department also accorded seven Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) with certificate of accreditation, making them eligible to receive funding from partner government agencies when implementing programs. The organizations included Escuela Taller De Filipinas Foundation, Inc.; Foundation for People Development, Inc.; Greenearth Heritage Foundation, Inc., and, University of Asia and the Pacific, Inc. Also given the certificate were United Coconut Planters Bank-Coconut Industry Investment Fund Foundation, Inc.; Saint Paul College of Technology Camiling, Tarlac Inc.; and, Filipinas Institute of Translation, Inc. #
