The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Gawad  Kalinga, and the Manila Water Foundation, Inc. (MWFI) entered into an agreement  to fulfill the 2nd component of the Philippine Multi-sectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP) on Thursday (September 14) at the DSWD Central Office.

Signing the agreement are DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian,  Gawad Kalinga Foundation Executive Director Danilo R. Bercasio, and MWFI President and Chief Executive Officer Jose Victor Emmanuel A. de Dios.

The PMNP, executed in collaboration with Kapit-bisig Laban sa Kahirapan Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) and the Department of Health (DOH), amplifies the impact of multi-sectoral interventions. These encompass the enhanced access to clean water, sanitation, improved hygiene practices, early childhood care and development (ECCD) services, and expanded access to nutrition programs for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4PS) beneficiaries.

This initiative of the DSWD with the two foundations reflects a whole-nation-approach in addressing issues affecting the vulnerable and marginalized sectors.. #
