All evacuation centers,​ which are managed by the local government units (LGUs)​,​ in areas affected by Tropical Depression Onyok are now closed, according to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) which leads the Camp Coordination and Camp Management Cluster under the humanitarian cluster system of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

DSWD disasters teams are now coordinating with concerned LGUs on the provision of aid to facilitate the recovery of the affected families especially to the eight families whose houses were damaged by the tropical depression.

‘Onyok’ has  affected a total of 2,721 families or 11,756 persons.

​Meanwhile,  a total of 17,808 families or 79,929 persons displaced by Typhoon Nona are still inside 288 evacuation centers managed by LGUs in Regions III, IV-A, IV-B, V and VIII as of 21 December 2015, 2AM.

A total of ₱85,819,430.38 worth of relief assistance has been provided to ‘Nona ‘ affected areas where ₱76,238,503.40 came from DSWD, ₱9,510,686.98  from the affected LGUs and ₱70,240.00  from the NGOs in Regions III, IV-A, IV-B, V and VIII.

Based on rapid assessment conducted jointly by LGUs and DSWD disaster teams, some 223,468 houses were damaged by ‘Nona’ in Regions III, IV-A, IV-B, V and, VIII.

With several towns in Region IV-B  also heavily affected by ‘Nona’,  the DSWD-Field Office in the region is calling on volunteers  to repack  family food packs for the quick delivery and distribution of goods in the areas.
