As ‘Kabayan’ moved out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continues to coordinate with the local government units and Provincial Action Teams (PAT) validating and assessing the families with reported totally and partially damaged houses.

A total of ₱2,234,464.00 worth of relief assistance were provided where ₱54,000.00 was given by DSWD, and ₱2,180,464.00 was given by the LGUs of Region III as of 5 October 2015, 2PM.

There are reportedly  875 damaged houses in Aurora Province, where 89 were totally damaged and 786 were partially destroyed.

To date, about 11,298 families or 55,056 persons were affected where 1,781 families or 8,320 persons are inside seven evacuation centers in Bulacan, Nueva Ecija and Zambales, while 2,408 families or 12,269 persons are outside evacuation centers.

DSWD Secretary Corazon Juliano-Soliman said that all disaster teams in DSWD-Field Offices are ready to provide technical assistance to LGUs along relief distribution and management of evacuation centers. ###
