The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continues to send relief augmentation to local government units (LGUs) affected by Typhoon Nona.

In the Bicol Region,  a total of P31.5 million worth of relief assistance has been provided to the LGUs of Albay,  P2.8 million; Camarines Norte, P4.9 million; Camarines Sur, P10.7 million; Catanduanes, P7.0 million, Masbate, P1.1 million; and, Sorsogon, P4.9 million. Likewise, a total 85,000 family food packs have been distributed in the six provinces.

In Eastern Visayas,  a total of 1,005 sacks of 25kg rice, 200 boxes of Nutridel baby food, five boxes of noodles, and five boxes of coffee were distributed in affected areas. Also, DSWD-Field Office VIII has facilitated the delivery of 700 bags of rice and 140 rolls of tarpaulin  to Northern Samar as well as 400 bags of rice to Oras and Arteche in Eastern Samar.​

Meanwhile, a total of 30,447 families or 130,682 persons are affected of which 28,384 families or 121,258 persons are inside 380 evacuation centers managed by LGUs in Regions IV-A, IV-B, V, and VIII as of 15 December 12NN.

DSWD disaster teams continue to coordinate with the affected LGUs for the provision of other relief resources needed by the evacuees. ###
