Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian joined Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Antonio Lagdameo Jr. and other Cabinet officials in providing employment opportunities to 12,000 graduating household-beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) during the roll-out of the ‘Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas’ on Friday (January 31) at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila.

The activity was organized by the DSWD, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and other key agencies, to assist 4Ps beneficiaries in providing pre-employment and advisory services.

Some of the agencies with service booths include the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Pag-IBIG Fund, PhilHealth, Philippine National Police (PNP), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Social Security System (SSS), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The Department of Agriculture (DA) was also present to provide affordable basic goods to beneficiaries through the ‘Kadiwa ng Pangulo’ stalls.

The Cabinet officials present in the event include DOLE Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma, DA Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr.

The event was also attended by DSWD executive and management committee members. (AKDL)
