The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its Field Office in the Bicol region, continues to closely monitor the situation of the evacuees taking temporary shelter in the different evacuation centers in Albay Province.

Field Office (FO) V is also taking proactive measures to respond to the current needs of the displaced families.

A monitoring platform being  manned by the FO’s Quick Response Team (QRT) was established to check on the urgent concerns inside the evacuation centers and to track all the deliveries of food and non-food items for both the DSWD and other partner agencies.

The FO V also continues to distribute hygiene and sleeping kits to the affected families inside the centers.

Family food packs (FFPs) are also being delivered to the warehouses of the local government units as augmentation support.

The DSWD continues to monitor the information boards, facilities, and the internally displaced persons (IDPs) to determine other needed assistance.
