Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Undersecretary for International Affairs and Attached and Supervised Agencies (ASAs) Emmeline Aglipay-Villar presents the agency’s programs and services that allow the women sector to learn how to thrive in the digital landscape and gain financial freedom during the Philippine Federation of Local Councils of Women (PFLCW) Inc. 19th General Assembly on Thursday (June 6) at the Seda Hotel Vertis North, Quezon City.
Undersecretary Villar discussed the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) that provides financial literacy seminars alongside educating the beneficiaries of the digital features of their cash card. She also mentioned Walang Gutom 2027: Food Stamp Program that provides monetary assistance in the form of electronic food credits to its beneficiaries including households with pregnant and lactating women.
The DSWD official emphasized in her message that digital advancement is also being done for the women-senior citizens in the payment of their social pension, and women economic empowerment through the agency’s Sustainable
Livelihood Program (SLP). #
