Two senior officials of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG) received in-kind donations from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in separate turn-over ceremonies on Monday (December 23).

DENR executives led by Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga arrived at the National Resource Operations Center (NROC) in Pasay City to personally turn over 250 bags to DRMG Special Assistant to the Secretary (SAS) Leo Quintilla, who is also the concurrent Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the National Resource and Logistics Management Bureau (NRLMB).

The in-kind donation is a part of the DENR’s ComPassion Project led by the DENR’s Association of Career Executives (ACE).

In another turnover activity, DRMG Undersecretary Diana Rose Cajipe received 377 sacks of rice, consisting of 10 individually-packed 5-kilograms of rice, from NBI Director Jaime Santiago at the NBI office in Pasay City. A total of nine boxes of different kinds of toys, sourced from the donation drive of NBI employees, were also turned over to the DSWD.

The donated rice is set for distribution to families affected by recent disasters, while the toys will be given to children-clients of DSWD-managed Center and Residential Care Facilities (CRCFs).

NBI officials present in the turnover activity were Deputy Director for Operations Antonio Pagatpat; Deputy Director for Administration Jose Justo Yap; Regional Director for NBI-National Capital Region Ferdinand
