The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) National Training School for Boys (NTSB) celebrated its 55th Founding Anniversary on Friday (November 29).

The NTSB is a residential care facility managed by the DSWD Field Office CALABARZON. It provides protection and parental care to children in conflict with the law (CICLs) to help them through rehabilitation in a residential setting and prepare them for successful adjustment with their families and communities after discharge.

With the theme, “Tunay na Malasakit at Kalinga sa CICL, Pinagtibay sa ika-55 Taon ng NTSB,” the celebration aimed to advocate for equal opportunities for children, particularly those in conflict with the law.

The event was led by NTSB Center Head Joanna Hizon and attended by Tanay, Rizal Mayor Rafael Tanjuatco, Judge Arlyn Concepcion-Soresca of the Regional Trial Court Branch 163 Marikina City, and guest speaker Rod Anthony Tongol, a former NTSB resident. (AKDL)
